NC State men's soccer head coach Marc Hubbard announced the addition of Jordan Valentine to his Wolfpack coaching staff on March 19, 2024.
In his first season in Raleigh, Valentine helped lead the Pack in one of the program's most successful seasons since the '90s, including a 2024 NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearance.
Prior to joining NC State, Valentine had just completed his second season as the assistant coach at Missouri State and left the team as the associate head coach after being promoted in December, helped lead the team to an overall record of 24-6-7 with NCAA Tournament appearances in both seasons. The team also achieved a Missouri Valley Conference regular season title and tournament championship in his first season.
In 2021, he was the first assistant men's soccer coach at UNC Asheville, where he aided in the program's rebuilding process and recruiting efforts.
Before UNC Asheville, Valentine was the head soccer coach at Ohio Valley University for three years, compiling an overall record of 24-6-2.
In his final season at Ohio Valley, he led the team to an undefeated season. They won both the Great Midwest Athletic Conference regular season and conference tournament and ended the season with a national ranking of No. 3. That year he was also named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.
Prior to Ohio Valley, Valentine held head coaching positions at Defiance College and PSU-New Kensington. During his five years at Defiance, he became the second-winningest coach in school history.
"We are excited to add Jordan to the Wolfpack Family," Hubbard said. "He has great head and assistant coaching experience at all levels and has brought new success to every program he has touched.
"Jordan is an experienced and relentless recruiter, and he will add instant value to our program. Most importantly, he is genuine, composed and a hard worker that immediately fits into our dynamic staff. We wish a warm welcome to Jordan and Kayla to Raleigh."
Valentine made 67 career appearances at Ohio Valley during his collegiate playing career. He also earned All-West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors as a defender and midfielder.
Valentine graduated from Ohio Valley University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in sport management. He also has a master's degree in education focused in sports coaching from Defiance College.
