Bio
Prior to NC State: Ranked No. 56 by 247 Sports and No. 71 by ESPN, the 6-10, 245-pound forward is a native of Congo and played high school basketball for Huntington Prep (W.Va.). He most recently played for DME Academy in Melbourne, Fla. While at DME Academy, Kapita averaged 12 points and seven rebounds per game, shot 83 percent from the free throw line and 60 percent from the field, while also shooting better than 50 percent from distance. His team finished 31-2, was ranked No. 6 in the nation among other prep schools, and played in the final of the national championship tournament.
