A superb athlete who has developed into a solid ACC performer … Entered the starting lineup midway through his sophomore campaign … Could see playing time at guard or small forward … A versatile player, Jeremy has become a fan favorite with his aggressive defensive play.
Sophomore Season: A very active small forward, Jeremy put up some impressive all-around numbers … While his 5.8 scoring average was just sixth best on the team, he was second on the team in steal (33), third in rebounding (4.0) and second in assists (70) … After shooting just 14.3 percent from three-point range as a freshman, he improved that number to 41.8 percent in 1994-95 … His 33 treys tanked third best on the team … He scored a career-high 15 points at North Carolina, canning five of seven three-point attempts … He pulled in a career-best 10 rebounds at Georgia Tech … The only player on the team to lead the squad in scoring, rebounding and assists for at least one game this season … A good athlete, he used his outstanding leaping ability to snare an average of 4.0 rebounds per game.
Freshman Season: Jeremy earned a reputation as the Wolfpack’s defensive specialist … While playing less than 12 minutes per game, he still finished the season tied for third on the team in steals with 23 … Averaged just 1.5 points and 1.0 rebound per game … Scored a season high of seven pints in the Pack’s win over Hawaii in the great Alaska Shootout … Had season bests of five rebounds and four assists against UNC-Ashville … Matched his four assists against Maryland in Raleigh as the Wolfpack won 79-71 … He equaled Todd Fuller’s team high of four blocked shots against the Terrapins … Jeremy started three games early in the year … He finished the season ranked fifth on the team in assists with 37.
High School Career: Named Tri-MVP of the Gateway 4-A Conference as a senior … Led Fletcher High School in three-point field goals with 65, setting a school single-season record … Averaged 15.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.6 steals as a senior … Led his team with 141 steals, 45 blocked shots, 168 assists and 12 charges taken … Made 134 of 244 two-point field-goal attempts for a 54.9 accuracy rate … Made 65 of 170 three-pointers (38.2 percent) and was 66 of 92 from the free throw line (71.7 percent) … Led the team in scoring four times as a senior, including a 40-point performance in the district championship game … Also led in rebounding nine times … Fletcher went 33-3 and advanced to the state finals … Named first-team all-city and first-team All-District VI … Named MVP of the Kingdom USA Tournament and was an all-tourney selection at the Dr. Phillips Tournament of Champions … Fletcher High School won the conference championship in each of his four years and district titles in 1991, 92, and 93 … Also a standout football player, earning all-state honors as a quarterback and defensive back … His senior year, his first as a quarterback, he passed for 1,860 yards … His favorite target was current Florida State wideout Andre Cooper.
