Dawn Winters is in her sixth year as the Executive Assistant to the Head Coach. In her role, she provides day-to-day support for the coaching staff. Among Winters' duties is to assist the Head Coach with maintaining his schedule, correspondence, day to day operations and special requests. She also helps with coordinating of travel and lodging needs for the Wolfpack coaches and team throughout the year. She also coordinates the basketball team's end of the year banquet.
Before joining the basketball staff, Winters was employed by GlaxoSmithKline for 25 years. She provided administrative support for the Director of U.S. Community Partnerships and was instrumental in assisting with the company's involvement in the annual United Way Campaign. She also managed GlaxoSmithKline's relationship with N.C. State Women's Basketball program and the company's participation in the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic for many years.
In her spare time, Winters enjoys spending time with her family, playing golf, exercising, and traveling. She is married and has two grown children, Ashley Winters Thompson and Alison Winters.
