The 2025-26 season marked Medland’s fourth season with the NC State men’s basketball program as assistant director of creative brand management.
In his role, Medland leads the creative video storytelling efforts for the men’s basketball program, focusing on showcasing the stories of student-athletes and staff for social media, GoPack.com and recruiting initiatives.
He directs, shoots and edits all video content for the program, including features, recaps, highlights and other creative productions.
Medland joined NC State in September 2022 after serving as Director of Creative Content at Monmouth for one year. At Monmouth, he produced all video content for in-venue video boards, social media and recruiting across the department’s 24 athletic programs, while traveling with the flagship sports of football and men’s and women’s basketball.
Prior to Monmouth, Medland worked at Centre College as an Athletics Communications Assistant from February 2021 to October 2021. There, he managed creative video production and live broadcasts for 24 Division III sports, assisted in managing social media accounts, maintained the website’s multimedia archive and contributed to strategic and logistical planning for the IWAE Project, a $50 million on-campus construction initiative.
Medland graduated from Temple University in 2020 with a degree in journalism.
Medland and his wife, Jamie, reside in Raleigh.
