Amanda joined the NC State Sports Medicine staff in July of 2014. Amanda received her Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN where she also worked in the athletic department's sports nutrition department. Amanda has also held Sports Nutrition Assistant positions at the University of Georgia and the University of Florida.
Amanda became a registered dietitian in the Fall of 2013 during her time at the University of Florida. She earned her Master's degree in Food and Nutrition in Spring of 2014 from Bowling Green State University. There she conducted her Master's project on current iron testing and supplementation practices of collegiate sports medicine departments.
Amanda was one of twelve nominated invitees to the first annual Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association (CPSDA) Advanced Practice Workshop for upcoming Sports RDs in February 2014. She is also a member of the CPSDA's research committee. Amanda currently resides in Raleigh, NC.
