Should become a key performer for the Wolfpack in 1995-96 … Joined the Pack last season after an outstanding career at Chipola Junior College (Marianna, Fla.) but played in only one game before he was sidelined with knee problems … A versatile athlete who is expected to provide strength on the inside as well as a fine shooting touch from the perimeter … Has worked extremely hard on his rehabilitation, and coaches are hopeful that he will be back at 100 percent.
Junior College Career: Listed on Blue Chip Illustrated’s junior college Dream Team in 1994 … As a sophomore at Chipola Junior College he averaged 12.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per game … Although he suffered a preseason kneecap injury, he began the year averaging 15.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per outing … A midseason knee injury slowed his productivity to 10.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game late in the year … Still managed to earn All-Panhandle Conference accolades … Tallied a season-best 23 points twice in 1993-94 and also contributed 13 rebounds in two games … Netted 44.4 percent of his field goal attempts … Chipola’s leading scorer as a freshman when he delivered 18.5 points per game through 32 contests … Also averaged 6.5 rebounds while shooting 56 percent from the floor and 50 percent (45 of 90) from beyond the three-point arc … Led Chipola to the Panhandle Conference title … Contributed 30 points in a losing effort in the state tournament semifinals … Earned all-conference honors as a freshman.
High School Career: Carried Mitchell Baker High School to the Georgia Class I-AA championship as a senior when he scored 30 points (with six three-pointers) and snared 10 rebounds in the finals … Finished the year averaging 21.2 points and 10.3 rebounds per game … Received all-state and all-conference notice … A finalist for the Georgia Naismith Award which goes to the state’s top player … Selected to play in the Georgia North-South and Georgia-Tennessee All-Star Games … As a junior, he averaged 18 points and nine rebounds per game … Contributed 27 points and 10 boards per playoff contest during Baker’s drive to the 1991 state title … A four-year prep starter.
Personal: Majoring in sociology … Born on December 8, 1972.
