AS A RS - JUNIOR (2018)
• Despite early season injuries, worked his way into the starter’s job at nickel by midseason.
• Missed almost all of fall camp with an injury and was limited in the early season.
• Earned his first career start in the win over FSU, he tied for the team lead in tackles in that contest.
• Posted a season-high seven stops when coming off the bench at Syracuse.
• Ranked third on the 2018 squad in pass breakups.
• Exited the Louisville game after nine snaps (he had three tackles in those 9 snaps) with an injury, as well as the ECU contest.
• In for a season-high 76 snaps vs. UNC.
AS A JUNIOR (2017)
• Sat out the season after transferring from the University of Tennessee.
• Has two years of eligibility remaining, he is working at nickel.
AS A SOPHOMORE AT TENNESSEE (2016):
• Played in 11 games, made one start.
• Started the regular season finale at Vanderbilt.
• Turned in season-highs of four tackles each in back-to-back games against Kentucky and Missouri.
AS A FRESHMAN AT TENNESSEE (2015):
• Saw action in eight games as a true freshman.
IN HIGH SCHOOL:
• Lettered at South Mecklenburg High School for coach Rocky White.
• Honors: Named Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Defensive Player of the Year in 2014. Also named the Charlotte Touchdown Club’s Defensive Player of the Year that year. An All-Mecklenburg County and all-conference choice as a senior and junior.
• Senior Stats: Had 73 tackles, six tackles for loss and three interceptions.
• Junior Stats: Had 80 tackles, 11 pass break-ups and three interceptions.
• Also played quarterback as a junior and rushed for 543 yards and three touchdowns.
• Rankings: Ranked the No. 46 safety nationally and No. 2 safety in North Carolina by scout.com. Ranked the No. 23 safety nationally and No. 18 recruit in North Carolina by rivals.com.
