Rian McCarthy joined the Wolfpack staff in October of 2025 and serves as the Assistant Director of Creative Media for Football.
McCarthy came to NC State after a year at Wake Forest, where he worked as a graphic designer for the football program.
A native of Kingston, Ontario, the 6'2-1/4" McCarthy graduated from Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario.
