Natalie Faustyn rejoined the Wolfpack as the Director of Sports Nutrition for Football, in August 2020. In her current role she provides nutrition coaching and works closely with the sports medicine and strength & conditioning staff to provide performance based support for the football team. Faustyn also oversees dining hall operations and helps manage the Hologic DXA machine for the athletic department.
Faustyn earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science and a minor in Sports Science from NC State in 2015. She earned her Master of Science in Nutrition Science from Meredith College in 2017, and completed her dietetic internship from Be Well Solutions in Cleveland, Ohio in 2018.
She spent time working at The University of Mississippi and Kennesaw State University during her dietetic internship. She previously worked in the clinical setting providing patient care for diabetes, hypertension, weight management, and disordered eating. At NC State, she previously served as a sports nutrition graduate assistant 2015 to 2017.
Faustyn is a registered dietitian through the Commission of Dietetic Registration and a licensed Dietitian Nutritionist through the North Carolina Board of Dietetics/Nutrition. She is also an active member of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association.
A native of Houston, Texas, Faustyn and her husband Joe live in Raleigh with their 2 dogs Nala and Texas. They enjoy spending time outside and local restaurants.
