2022 SEASON:
• A finalist for the Wooden Citizenship Cup - given to a male and female collegiate athlete from any sport who best displays character, teamwork, and citizenship.
• Played in the East-West Shrine Game and invited to the NFL Combine.
• Also a semfinalist for the Jason Witten Man of the Year Award.
• A second-team AP All-ACC performer. He was an honorable mention choice on the league team.
• A FIVE-year starter, he led the team with 55 career games started.
• Team captain for the third straight year.
• Tallied 341 career tackles, tied for the 11th-best mark in school history.
• Ranked second on the team in career snaps with 3,035 - the highest total on defense.
• Tied for third on the team with 82 tackles, he led the squad with 10 in the win over Wake Forest - he also had 2.5 tackles for loss (15 yards) and a nine-yard sack. He also batted down a pass on third down to force a punt. Five of his stops were for 0 or negative yards.
• Late in the first quarter, with the Pack up 3-0, Wake had 1st and goal from the one. Moore had a three-yard TFL on 1st down, a 4 yard TFL on 2nd down, a 9-yard sack on 3rd down to force a field goal attempt (that was missed). Named ACC LB of the Week for that performance.
• Also led the team in tackles vs. Maryland and Syracuse.
• Co-recipient of the team’s Governor’s Award (MVP) and the Ken McNeill Iron Wolf Award for the top comeback from injury.
2021 SEASON:
• An honorable mention All-ACC performer.
• Suffered a season-ending knee injury at Miami.
• At the time, was the team leader in tackles for loss, he ranks second in total tackles.
• Picked off his first career pass in the win at BC - he led the team in tackles in that contest.
• Team captain for the second season, he was also chosen to wear the coveted No. 1 jersey.
• Led the team with eight stops vs. No. 9 Clemson.
• Tallied three QB hurries vs. the Tigers, they were all on third down to force three and outs.
• A nominee for the 2021 Allstate AFCA Good Works team and the Wuerffel Trophy..
• A first-team preseason All-ACC choice according to Athlon.
• Led all returning Power 5 linebackers in tackles at or behind the line of scrimmage in 2020 with 27.
2020 SEASON:
• An honorable mention All-ACC choice.
• Second-leading tackler on the team with 94 stops.
• Ranked 10th in the ACC with 7.8 tackles per game.
• Named the ACC LB of the Week for the win over No. 21 Liberty when he led the team with a career-high 13 tackles.
• Also scored a safety in the one-point win over the Flames - that was the Pack’s first safety in 10 years.
• Voted a team captain for 2020.
• Made a then-career high 12 stops in the win over Duke.
• Leading tackler vs. Virginia Tech with nine stops.
• A third-team preseason All-ACC choice according to Phil Steele.
2019 SEASON:
• Third-leading tackler on the 2019 squad with 53 stops.
• Missed the Clemson game with an injury but came back to lead the team with eight stops vs. Louisville.
• Also the leading tackler with eight vs. Georgia Tech.
• Tied a career-high with 10 tackles in the win over Syracuse.
• Left the Wake Forest contest with an injury.
2018 SEASON:
• Earned the team’s Philip Rivers Freshman of the Year Award.
• Starting middle linebacker in all but one contest, he ranked third on the team in tackles, second among returning players.
• Ranked third on the team with 7.5 tackles for loss, second with six quarterback hurries.
• Missed the Marshall game with an injury.
• Tied for the team lead in tackles in the wins over Georgia State (7) and Florida State (6).
• Started his first career game in the opener and tallied 10 tackles.
2017 SEASON:
• Redshirted the season at linebacker.
HIGH SCHOOL:
• A linebacker, tight end at Bird High School for coach David Bedwell.
• Senior stats: Had 106 tackles, including 77 solo stops. Finished with 15 sacks, 29 tackles for loss, three interceptions and five blocked kicks
• Team captain as a senior.
• Junior stats: Had 88 tackles, eight sacks, 22.5 tackles for loss, two INTs.
• Sophomore stats: Had 67 tackles, four sacks, 14.5 tackles for loss.
• Lloyd C. Bird won the state championship his sophomore year.
• Honors: 2-time first-team all-conference, second-team 5-A All-South Region. First-team all-metro as a senior, second-team as a junior.
• Rankings: No. 30 player in Virginia by rivals.com. No. 69 outside linebacker nationally by scout.com, No. 3 in Virginia.
• Ranked in the top 10 academically in his class. University of Virginia Jefferson Book Award recipient. 2015-16 Student of the Year.
PERSONAL
• Member of the department’s Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC).
• Leader of NC State’s #PackUnited movement, which fights for social justice - he earned the team’s 2020 Community Service Award for those efforts.
• Major: Earned his degree in communication in the summer of 2021.
