Shawn Flaherty joined the Wolfpack staff as an offensive graduate assistant in the spring of 2017, following a successful playing career at Towson State University. He works with the offensive line.
The 23-year-old from Montvale, N.J., started at right guard in 2016 for the Tigers and was named to the CAA All-Academic team for the third straight year. In 2015, he started at center for Towson.
As a sophomore in 2014, he was named the recipient of the Bobbi Madison Tiger Scholar-Athlete Award and in 2013, played for the Towson squad that was the national runner-up.
Flaherty earned his B.S. in business administration with a concentration in management and leadership, posting a cumulative GPA of 3.65. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in youth, family and community sciences with a concentration in youth development and leadership.
His father, Pat Flaherty, is a 40-year coaching veteran who is currently the offensive line coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
