Mike Gray joined the Wolfpack as a defensive graduate assistant in January of 2018. At NC State, he works with the linebackers.
Gray spent the 2017 season at Western Kentucky as a defensive intern under former Wolfpack linebacker and assistant coach Clayton White, working mainly with the safeties.
He was a four-year letterman at Mercer University, playing both safety and SAM linebacker. He finished his career with 180 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, three sacks and three interceptions. After his playing days with the Bears, he spent the next spring working with the defensive line at Mercer.
Gray earned a BBA with a double major in sports business and marketing from Mercer in the Spring of 2017. He graduated Cum Laude with a 3.6 GPA.
