Mike Solomon joined the NC State Strength & Conditioning staff as an assistant strength & conditioning coach for football in February 2016.
Prior to this time with the Wolfpack, Solomon worked as one of the top sports performance instructors in the Raleigh-Durham area for over nine years, as the Director of Strength Programming, at one of the top athletic-development facilities. Solomon has developed players who have advanced to play at the D1 level, including professional athletes on the national and international level as well.
Solomon possesses over 10 years of high school football coaching experience, including being apart of a two-time contending state championship program.
He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA, and a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Performance coach. A native from Miami, Fla., Solomon earned a Bachelors degree from Florida State University in exercise science in 2007, and then a Masters degree in consumer sciences with a concentration in nutrition from North Carolina Central University in 2012.
