Henry Trevathan, Jr., has been the Wolfpack’s Director of High School Relations since the spring of 2013. Trevathan coached in the North Carolina high school ranks for the past two decades.
Trevathan joined Doeren’s staff after spending the past two seasons as the head coach at Southern Alamance High school in Mebane. He has also been the head coach at Raleigh’s Cardinal Gibbons (2011), Broughton High School in Raleigh (1984-90) and served on the staffs at Southern Alamance High School in Graham and Western Alamance in Elon.
He also has experience in the collegiate coaching ranks, working on the staffs at Lenoir-Rhyne and Elon, where he served as offensive coordinator and associate head coach. His first coaching job was as an graduate assistant coach for the Wolfpack.
Trevathan lettered at quarterback and punter at East Carolina from 1978-79. His father, Henry Trevathan, Sr., is a member of the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame and served as an assistant coach at NC State from 1986-93. During his time with the Wolfpack, Trevathan, Sr., led the special teams units.
