Andrew Wood serves as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Wolfpack Football team. Wood joined the Sports Medicine Staff just prior to the 2014 season after working as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Appalachian State University during 2011-2014 with football and golf.

A native of Garner, Iowa, Wood completed his Master’s Degree at Northwestern State University in Sports Administration, where he served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for Women's Basketball, Football, and Track & Field. He received his Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Athletic Training from Iowa State University. Wood also completed a summer NFL internship with the Detroit Lions.

Wood is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and North Carolina Athletic Trainers' Association. He has received his Board of Certification and is licensed to practice as a Certified Athletic Trainer in the state of North Carolina.
