PLAYING EXPERIENCE:
A three-year starter at NC State on the offensive line (2012-15). A first-team all-state performer at Starr’s Mill High School in Fayetteville, Ga.

EDUCATION:
Earned a B.A. in history from NC State in 2015 and a master’s in adult and higher education from Northern Illinois University in 2018. Also awarded a graduate certificate in sports management (NIU 2018) and youth development and leadership (NC State 2020). He is currently working on a second master’s degree in youth, family and community science.

PERSONAL DATA:
A Fayetteville, Ga., native. Married to Christina Hemphill, an NC State graduate.

BOWL EXPERIENCE:
AS A PLAYER: 2012 Music City Bowl, 2014 Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl, 2015 Belk Bowl; AS A COACH: NIU – 2017 Quick Lane Bowl, 2018 Boca Raton Bowl

COACHING EXPERIENCE:
After graduating from NC State, followed his position coach Mike Uremovich to Northern Illinois, where he was an intern working with the running backs in 2016. He spent the new two years as a defensive graduate assistant, working with the defensive line in 2017 and the offensive line in 2018. NIU won the MAC title in 2018. Came back to his alma mater in 2019 as an offensive graduate assistant, working with the offensive line.
