AS A RS-JUNIOR (2024):
• Middle LB who was the team’s leading tackler before suffering a season-ending injury the week prior to the Syracuse contest.
• Posted a career-high with 14 stops in the win over NIU, he also played a career-high 74 snaps in that victory.
• Also led the team in tackles with 11 vs. La Tech.
• Was ejected eight plays into the opener for targeting but came back to play 64 snaps in Game 2.
AS A RS-SOPHOMORE (2023):
• Backup middle linebacker who played significant snaps (410) on defense in 2023. He also saw action in 110 special teams snaps.
• Earned his first career start in the win at Virginia, he tallied a career-high 12 tackles in that contest.
• Also started the Pop-Tarts Bowl vs. Kansas State, playing a career-high 71 snaps.
• Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll for the second straight year.
AS A RS-FRESHMAN (2022):
• Reserve linebacker who saw action mainly on special teams.
• In for 104 special teams snaps for the season.
• Missed a good part of spring workouts with an injury.
AS A FRESHMAN (2021):
• Redshirted the season at LB.
• Saw action in three games, including a high of 25 snaps in the win over Furman.
• He tallied three tackles in that contest as well.
• Enrolled at NC State in January of 2021 and went through spring drills with the Wolfpack.
IN HIGH SCHOOL:
• Played outside linebacker and running back at The Bolles School for coach Matt Toblin.
• Career Stats: A three-year varsity starter at linebacker. Recorded 292 tackles, 176 solo stops, 33 TFLs, 10 sacks and seven interceptions. Also had 87 career punts for 2,934 yards and averaged 26.3 yards on 21 career kickoff returns.
• Senior Stats: Tallied 112 tackles and 24 TFLs. Also recorded four sacks and one INT. Rushed 27 times for 170 yards and scored four touchdowns. Totaled 414 all-purpose yards. Helped lead his team to a 10-2 record and Florida Class 4A state championship game.
• Junior stats: Notched 104 tackles and seven TFLs. Also recorded six sacks and four INTs. Helped team to a runner-up finish at the Florida Class 4A state playoffs and an 11-2 record.
• Sophomore Stats: Turned in 73 tackles and a pair of TFLs and interceptions.
• Honors: A Times-Union All-First Coast first-team selection as a junior
• Rankings: Ranked as the No. 19 outside linebacker nationally and the No. 37 player in Florida by 247Sports.com.
PERSONAL:
• Father, Tom Fordham, was a four-year letterman as an offensive lineman at Florida State and played 10 years with 44 starts in the NFL with the Jaguars, Steelers, and Panthers.
