In 2011: Started the first for games of the season at defensive tackle and the last seven at end ... An All-ACC nominee ... Left the Cincinnati game in the first half with an ankle injury and missed the Georgia Tech game ... Had a phenomenal game in the season opening win over Liberty, tallying six total tackles, including two sacks ... Also had two quarterback pressures, caused two fumbles and recovered another fumble that he returned 52-yards for a touchdown ... That fumble return was the fourth-longest in school history and the longest in 16 years ... Named the ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week for that performance.
In 2010: Talented player who could become a full-time starter in 2011 ... Earned his first career start in the season opener, he saw frequent action as part of the second-team unit on the defensive line ... Tallied a career-high five stops at Clemson, he also had two quarterback pressures in that game ... Recovered a fumble in the win at North Carolina.
In 2009: Saw action in 10 games ... Played 115 snaps, including a high of 18 versus Gardner-Webb and at Virginia Tech ... Tallied three tackles in just nine plays at Boston College ... Pressured the opponent's QB eight times for the season, six in the last three games.
Prep: Played defensive tackle at Stone Bridge High School for Coach Mickey Thompson... Recorded 72 tackles, six sacks, two interceptions, and blocked two kicks as a senior... Tallied 65 tackles and six sacks as a junior... Helped lead his team to the 2007 and 2008 Group AAA Division 5 state title... A second-team all-state selection as a junior... Played his sophomore season at Kennesaw Harrison High School in Georgia, where he earned all-area, all-district, and second-team all-state honors after recording 88 tackles and 10 sacks ... Named to the All-Atlantic Region class of 2009 by Prep Star ... A program management major.
