Coach Wes Moore Quotes Following 76-73 loss at TCU (Nov. 17, 2024)
Opening Statement:
"We have to defend better. We shot the three really well today, did a great job against their press, which I was concerned about, but we have to guard better [with] giving up 76 points. We don't guard on the ball very well and, at some point, they have to be determined to get down and try to shut somebody down. As a coach, I have to look at what we are doing offensively and see if I can get a little more movement, both people and ball, but those are things we have to try and work on and fix. Again, [TCU is a] great team. I knew it was going to be a tough game. You have a 6-7 post player who is really good and you have all kinds of shooters around her. It's a tough matchup."
On the Front Court:
"We have to do better. It's a challenge. [Sedona Prince] is one of the best post players in the country and has great length, but we need to figure out some answers there... We have to find a way to bridge the gap there."
On Aziaha James' Performance (after coming off illness):
"Again, when she gets going, she can carry a team offensively. I thought she hit some big shots for us."
