• Earned All-American status with a fourth place finish...went 5-2...third round loss was to Wyatt Hendrickson of Oklahoma State who went on to win the national title...stayed alive by earning three straight wins in the backside of the bracket over (12) Nick Feldman of Ohio State, (6) Josh Heindselman of Michigan, and (4) Owen Trephan of Lehigh...a loss to (9) Cohlton Schultz of Arizona state locked him into fourth place...last four matches of the tournament were wrestled with a ACL, MCL, and meniscus
• Tried to wrestle in the ACC Tournament but had to medical forfeit out to continue recovery from mensicus surgery a week prior...earned an at-large bid to qualify for NCAAs
• Wrestled in two tournaments during the regular season: Journeymen's Collegiate Classic and Cliff Keen Invitational...Landed second on the podium at CKLV by defeating Aiden Compton of Cornell, No. 20 Lance Runyon of Northern Iowa, and No. 5 Cohlton Schultz of Arizona State, while only loss was eventual national champion Wyatt Hendrickson of Oklahoma State...major decision win over Schultz in the semifinals avenged his previous loss to him at Collegiate Classic the month before

2023-24
• Named a captain for the season alongside Jackson Arrington, Jakob Camacho, Alex Faison, and Trent Hidlay.
• Redshirted the season to focus on the U.S. Olympic Trials.
• Qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in Albania in October of 2023. His 97 kg title at the U23 World Championships secured his place. His first-ever international tournament brought a 4-0 weekend over, including tech falls for his last three bouts.
Finished 2nd at the U.S. Olympic Trials with notable wins over Eric Schultz, Kollin Moore, and Jay Aielllo, placing him on the USA National Team (97kg).
2022-23
• Placed 2nd at the ACC Championships after falling to Pitt’s Nino Bonaccorsi by one point (who went on to become a national champion that year)
• Qualified for the NCAA Championships where he 2-2...Both losses coming from top-15 seeds
• Closed the season with a 21-6 record at 197 lbs...Collected eight ranked wins during the regular season...All three of his regular season losses were to ranked opponents, two of which were in the top-five
• Runner-up at the 2022 World Team Trials at 92 kg. Started with a pin over former World Team member Downey in his first bout. Then in the semifinals, he reversed a loss and took out top seed and U.S. Open champion Caffey of Michigan State with an 11-0 tech. Trumble fell in the final series to Nate Jackson.
• Runner-up at the 2022 U.S. Open at 92 kg. Started as the top seed with a 10-0 tech. In the semifinals, downed UNC’s Shaw 15-4 before falling to Michigan State’s Caffey in the final, 11-7.
2021-22
• First-time NCAA Qualifier. Was the #15 seed, went 1-2.
• Earned All-ACC honors by reaching the final. Was the top seed and downed #31 Shaw of UNC 9-2 before falling in the final to #8 Bonaccorsi of Piit, 5-2.
• 18-6 on the season, 10-3 in duals, perfect 5-0 vs. ACC foes in duals. Posted six ranked win, including the last four regular season match-ups all vs. ACC foes.
• Named ACC Wrestler of the Week after defeating #6 Bonaccorsi of Pitt in the dual, 2-0. The second straight year he won that matchup, and also second straight year he won the ACC award for the win.
• Top win was 5-3 over #4 Elam of Missouri in the dual. Scored the winning takedown in the final seconds.
• Claimed first at both The Citadel Open and the Wolfpack Wrestling Club Open.
• Wrestled at 92 kg at the 2021 U.S. World Team Trials. Started with a 9-7 win over #7 seed and former Nebraska All-American Timothy Dudley before dropping his final two bouts.
• Finished fifth at the 2021 U.S. Senior Nationals at 97 kg, his first-ever senior level event. Also finished third in Greco-Roman at 97 kg at the junior level.
• Named a 2022 NWCA D1 Scholar All-American and to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2020-21
• Split time as the Pack’s starter at 197 pounds as a true freshman. Lost a wrestle-off with teammate Nick Reenan for the starting spot for the postseason.
• Went 6-1 on the season, 3-1 in duals. Four of his six wins were a pin.
• Named ACC Wrestler of the Week after he downed #5 Bonaccorsi of Pitt (2021 NCAA Finalist) 6-1 in his first career dual. Hit a four-point near fall at the end of the second period to secure the win.
• Also in ACC dual action, pinned UNC’s Shaw and scored a 6-5 win over Virginia Tech’s Smeltzer.
• Rose as high as #4 in the national rankings before suffering a lose in the regular season finale.
• Named a 2021 NWCA Scholar All-American and to the 2020-21 All-ACC Academic Team and 2020-21 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Prep
• Named a 2020 Wrestling USA Scholastic All-American.
• Two-time state champion, going a combined 106-0 in his final two seasons.
• State champion as a senior at 285 pounds going a perfect 50-0.
• State champion as a junior at 182 pounds going a perfect 56-0.
• State runner-up as a sophomore with a 53-2 record.
• Placed fifth as a freshman, going 44-13.
• Took third at the 2019 Super32.
• A double All-American at Fargo in 2019, finishing fourth in freestyle and third in Greco.

• Member of NC State’s ROTC program, and was commissioned into the Army following a Wolfpack dual in 2022.
