Prior To NC State: Is the second Colorado native that Santoro has signed in his tenure...Trained with Colorado Rush since the fall of 2016 under Erik Bushev and Peter May...She previously trained with Real Colorado and her team finished fourth in the nation in 2015 and were national finalists in 2016...She additionally received individual Player Development Program (PDP) invites in 2015 and '16...As a captain of the Colorado 99 ODP Team she helped her team to win the 2015 USYS Region IV Championship with the all-star team and received multiple regional camp invites...With Regis Jesuit High School her team won the Continental League in 2016 and she earned all-conference honors her first three seasons...Kassal additionally was a CHSAA All-State Honorable Mention selection on two separate occasions and garnered CHSAA Academic All-State First Team honors in 2017.
Santoro on Kassal: "Abby is a very cerebral player who has good vision, is clean on the ball and sometimes can think outside the box in her decision making, which is always fun to see. I believe playing within our style and with some of the returning players we have is going to fit her ideas well and make her versatile in what position she can play."
