Livingston and Talley Earn Postseason ACC Honors

CHARLOTTE – Two members of the NC State softball team earned postseason honors, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Wednesday morning.
Freshman Lily Livingston was named to the Second Team All-ACC and All-Freshman Team, while fellow rookie Morgen Talley also earned All-Freshman Team honors.
For the first time since 2017, the Pack placed two student-athletes on the All-Freshman Team, and for the first time since 2022, NC State had a selection on the Second Team All-ACC.
Lily Livingston | 3B
Livingston put together a stellar rookie campaign, finishing conference play with a .409 batting average, .727 slugging percentage and .500 on-base percentage. The Arab, Alabama native led the team with 37 hits, including five doubles, four home runs and two triples.
She earned ACC Freshman of the Week honors following the UNC series, where she nearly hit for the cycle in game one.
Against Cal, Livingston went 3-for-3 in game one with two walks and a double, scoring a season-best four runs.
Morgen Talley | UTL
Regarded as one of the top two-way players in the country, Talley delivered an impressive freshman season. She recorded a team-best 20 RBIs and six home runs in conference play, adding 19 hits, four doubles and 10 runs scored.
In the Cal series, Talley totaled 12 RBIs, five hits, two grand slams and two runs scored. Her performance earned ACC Freshman of the Week, D1 Softball National Freshman of the Week and Softball on SI Freshman of the Week honors.
In the circle, the Palm Harbor, Florida native posted a 6.74 ERA in conference play, along with a team-best four wins. She made 14 appearances, tossing two complete games, earning one save and striking out a team-high 43 batters.
