#10 Wolfpack Closes Home Regular Season Slate with Pair of Wins on Senior Day

RALEIGH, NC. - No. 10 NC State women's tennis closed out its home regular-season slate Sunday with a pair of wins on Senior Day, defeating No. 42 Notre Dame, 4-0, and East Carolina, 7-0, at J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.
The Wolfpack claimed its 13th and 14th consecutive doubles points, marking the program's longest doubles-point streak under the current collegiate scoring format. Prior to Sunday's matches, NC State honored senior Anna Zyryanova, who went on to deliver both match-clinching singles victories on the day.
NC State opened the afternoon with a 4-0 sweep of the Fighting Irish, using its 13th straight doubles point to take an early 1-0 lead. Mia Slama and Lavinia Tanasie clinched the doubles point on court three with a 6-4 win over Akari Matsuno and Mari-Louise van Zyl, while No. 2 Gabriella Broadfoot and Victoria Osuigwe gave the Pack its first doubles victory of the match with a 6-2 decision on court one.
The Pack then won courts two, three and four in singles to secure the shutout. No. 42 Broadfoot provided the first singles point of the match with a straight-set 6-1, 6-3 win over Matsuno on court two. No. 65 Tanasie followed with a 6-2, 6-4 victory on court four to put NC State one point away from clinching, before No. 51 Zyryanova sealed the win on Senior Day with a 6-4, 6-3 triumph over Bojana Pozder on court three.
In the second match of the day, NC State extended its doubles-point streak to 14 with a sweep of East Carolina in doubles. Slama and Tanasie led the way with a 6-0 victory on court three.
The Wolfpack completed the 7-0 sweep by winning all six singles matches in straight sets, led by No. 36 Slama's 6-0, 6-1 victory on court one. Zyryanova and Tanasie each added their second singles wins of the day, while Osuigwe, Jasmine Conway and Amelie Smejkalova picked up wins on courts four, five and six to cap the day.
