NC State Falls to Notre Dame in ACC Tournament Quarterfinals

DULUTH, Ga. – The No. 4-seeded NC State women's basketball team fell to No. 5-seeded Notre Dame, 81-63 in the 2026 Ally ACC Tournament Quarterfinals.Â
Notre Dame led for 39:09 in the loss and shot 48.5 percent (32-of-66) from the field. NC State had troubles taking care of the basketball on Friday, finishing with 17 turnovers, which the Irish converted into 16 points. The Pack had nine of those turnovers in the second quarter.
The Pack won the battle in points in the paint (34-28) and the teams tied in rebounds with 35.
Khamil Pierre led the Pack with her 21st double-double of the season with 17 points off 7-of-11 from the field with 14 rebounds and three assists. She had that double-double by late in the second quarter and now she is tied for No. 2 in a single season for double-doubles with Trudi Lacey.
Zamareya Jones logged 14 points and Qadence Samuels registered 12 points, seven in the first quarter, with six boards. Zoe Brooks also finished in double digits in scoring with 10 points, four rebounds and five assists.
The loss is the largest for the Wolfpack in the ACC Tournament since 2017 and the second time Wes Moore has not won at least one game in an ACC Tournament.
