RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men's basketball program was an at-large selection for the 2026 NCAA Tournament announced Sunday evening on CBS.

The game will be televised on TruTV and tipoff is still to be announced. The winner will play sixth-seed BYU in Portland on Thursday.
This will be the seventh meeting all-time between the two programs and the second this season. The two teams met earlier this year in the Maui Invitational with the Longhorns beating NC State, 102-98.
Texas leads the all-time series, 4-2, including a 1-0 advantage in games played in the NCAA Tournament. Second-seeded Texas beat seventh-seed NC State, 75-54, in Dallas in the second round of the 2006 NCAA Tournament.
This is the Pack's 30th NCAA Tournament appearance and its third in the last four seasons. NC State has an all-time record of 41-28 in the NCAA Tournament.
The 2026 appearance will be the first for the program since its run to the Final Four in the 2024 tournament.
