Automatic Qualifiers
Four Wolfpack swimmers secured automatic bids to the NCAA Championships after capturing gold in their respective events at the ACC Championships. Automatic qualifiers include Quintin McCarty (50 free), Arsenio Bustos (200 IM), Aiden Hayes (100 fly), and Max Carlsen (500 free, 1650 free).
First-Time NCAA Competitors
While the Pack features a strong core of experienced NCAA returners, two swimmers will make their championship debuts this season: freshman Max Carlsen and junior Wells Walker. Carlsen earned his first NCAA appearance in dominant fashion, claiming ACC titles in both the 500 free and 1650 free in February.
National Champion in the Field
Fifth-year standout Aiden Hayes enters the meet as the lone Wolfpack swimmer on the roster with an individual NCAA title. Hayes captured the 100 butterfly national championship in 2023, the last time he competed at NCAAs, held at the McAuly Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech.
