Ryan Marohn Named to Preseason Pitcher of the Year Watch List by Baseball America

RALEIGH, N.C. – Baseball America released its first-ever preseason watch lists, and the Wolfpack's Ryan Marohn has been named one of 20 pitchers to be recognized for Pitcher of the Year, the organization announced Tuesday.
Marohn, who was earlier tabbed a Third-Team Preseason All-American, is looking to lead the Wolfpack pitching staff again this year. In 14 starts last season, Marohn had an 8-3 record and 3.38 ERA. He had 91 strikeouts with just 19 walks in 85.1 innings pitched, with opposing batters hitting just .248.
Named to the All-ACC Third Team last season, he finished in the top 10 of conference pitchers in both innings and strikeouts. He recorded three games with double-digit strikeouts.
In a must-win game in the Auburn Regional of the NCAA tournament last season, Marohn went eight innings against Central Connecticut, holding the Blue Devils to just five hits with no runs, no walks, and 10 strikeouts.
The 2026 season will begin on February. 13th in Ponce, Puerto Rico, against Washington when Marohn and the Wolfpack take part in the Puerto Rico Baseball Challenge.
