Pack Picks Up Road Win with 79-71 Victory at BC

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The NC State men's basketball team (11-5, 2-1 ACC) outlasted Boston College, 79-71, Tuesday evening inside Conte Forum.
BC held an early 5-4 lead, but that proved to be the final lead of the game for the Eagles as the Pack went on a run midway through the first half to open a 13-point lead.
Boston College cut the deficit to eight points by halftime and got as close as three, 56-53, with 9:46 to play, but the Pack responded with the next six points of the game to stretch the lead out to nine points and the Eagles never got closer than seven the rest of the way.
Darrion Williams led the Pack with 22 points, his first 20 point game since he scored 28 in NC State's win over VCU on Nov. 17.
Terrance Arceneaux scored a season-high 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting and made all three of his three-point attempts.
Matt Able added 11 points and six rebounds while Quadir Copeland finished with eight points and a season-high 10 assists.
The Pack finished the game with just four turnovers and forced Boston College into 16. NC State finished with a 16-2 advantage in points off turnovers and outscored the Eagles, 31-12, in bench points.
NC State shot a season-high 59.1 percent from long range as the Pack made 13 of its 22 attempts from long range.
The Pack's win snapped the Pack's 15-game losing streak in road games.
NC State is back in action Saturday when it plays at Florida State (7-8, 0-2 ACC). Tipoff against the Seminoles is scheduled for noon and the game will be televised on the ACC Network.
