RALEIGH – The NC State women's basketball program has unveiled its 2025-26 non-conference schedule, as revealed on Wednesday.
The Pack will play five of its 11 non-conference games at Reynolds Coliseum, where the Pack has a 23-game home winning streak, the fourth longest active streak in the country. NC State is coming off a 28-7 season highlighted by the Pack's sixth NCAA Sweet 16 in the last seven tournaments. The Pack is 134-15 (.899) at home since the renovation of Reynolds Coliseum, which was completed in August 2016.
NC State's announced non-conference opponents have an average 2024-25 NET ranking of 73.6. Four of the teams are 2025 NCAA Tournament squads who ended their seasons either in the Elite Eight or Sweet 16 and finished inside the top 15 in the AP Poll. Three other opponents qualified to play in the postseason in the WBIT or WNIT.
NC State will play its first two games away from Raleigh in neutral site events. The Pack will open the season against Tennessee for the Battle in the 'Boro on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. on ESPN2. That game will be played at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Lady Vols are coming off a 24-10 season, which concluded in a NCAA Sweet 16 appearance and No. 15 final AP Poll ranking in Kim Caldwell's first season at the helm.
The Pack will then make its return to the Ally Tipoff for the second straight year, this time squaring off against the USC Trojans on Sunday, Nov. 9 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Trojans won the Big Ten Regular Season Championship, finishing the year 31-4 with an NCAA Tournament Elite Eight appearance. USC was No. 5 in the AP Poll.
NC State will hold its home opener against Maine on Wednesday, Nov. 12, which will be the first of four straight home games for the Pack. The Pack will then have a rematch against TCU on Sunday, Nov. 16 as a part of a home-and-home deal. TCU went 34-4 last season, highlighted by a Big 12 title, NCAA Tournament Elite Eight appearance and a No. 6 final AP Poll ranking. NC State will then host Coastal Carolina for the second consecutive year on Wednesday, Nov. 19 followed by a date with Rhode Island on Sunday, Nov. 23.
The Pack will return to a tropical environment for Thanksgiving, as NC State will play at the Cancun Challenge. NC State will play in the Yucatan Tournament on Thursday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 28 with opponents to be determined. This marks NC State's third appearance in Cancun.
NC State will hit the road for the ACC/SEC Challenge for the first time since the challenge was created. The Pack will play at Oklahoma on Wednesday, Dec. 3, going 2-0 in challenge games leading into the matchup with the Sooners. Oklahoma was 27-8 and made it to the NCAA Sweet 16 last season.
The Pack will wrap up the non-conference home slate with a matchup against Seton Hall on Sunday, Dec. 7, as a part of a home-and-home deal. The Pirates made the NCAA WBIT second round last season. NC State will then play at Davidson on Sunday, Dec. 21, with the Wildcats also being a WBIT team last season.
NC State will also square off against High Point for an exhibition game at Reynolds Coliseum on Saturday, Oct. 18 at Reynolds Coliseum.
