
Phillip Named to 2025 ACC Men’s Soccer Preseason Watch List

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – NC State men's soccer forward Donavan Phillip was named to the 2024 ACC Preseason Watch List, as announced by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.
Out of the 15 schools among the conference, the Wolfpack member is one of two forwards placed on the watch list. Phillip, a junior from Saint Lucia enters his second season in the red-and-white after closing out his sophomore campaign being selected in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft. He was the No. 62 overall pick by the Colorado Rapids but ultimately decided to come back to Raleigh and use more of his collegiate eligibility.
In the 2024 season he made 19 total appearances with 14 starts. Logging 1,175 minutes, he was toward the top of the leaderboard in numerous categories among the team which included tied for secdon in goals (6), tied for third in assists (4), tied for second in points (16), tied for second in shots (45), and second in shots on goal (19). He made a big impact in high-pressure games, scoring twice against No. 10 SMU in the regular season, scoring and then assisting the golden goal in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, and scoring in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
