Pratapas, Holt Named 2025 Women’s Soccer Captains

RALEIGH, N.C. – Seniors Olivia Pratapas and Brooklyn Holt have been selected as the 2025 NC State women's soccer captains, head coach Gary Higgins announced Monday. Both earn the honor for the first time in their careers, recognized for their leadership both on the pitch and in the locker room.
Pratapas has started 31 of 32 matches in goal since transferring to NC State from Louisville ahead of the 2023 season. In 2024, she posted a career-high 71 saves, including a personal-best nine stops against Virginia on Oct. 10. She also notched career-bests with a .780 save percentage and five shutouts.
Holt returns for her fourth season with the Wolfpack after joining the program as a freshman in 2022. Following a season-ending injury 12 matches into the 2023 campaign, the defender bounced back in 2024 to make 17 appearances with eight starts and one assist. She logged 1,134 minutes on the back line, going the full 90 in six of her starts.
The Wolfpack open their 2025 season Thursday, Aug. 14, hosting James Madison at 7 p.m. The match will air live on ACC Network Extra.
