Raleigh, N.C. – NC State Athletics is proud to announce that in recognition of a generous gift from longtime supporter and alumnus Andy Albright ('86, College of Textiles), the main video scoreboard in the North End Zone of Carter-Finley Stadium will now be known as the Andy Albright Scoreboard.
The gift supports ongoing improvements to Carter-Finley Stadium and reflects the Albright family's deep commitment to enhancing the Wolfpack experience for student-athletes, fans, and the greater NC State community.
"Andy and Jane Albright have shown time and again just how much NC State means to them," said McMurray Family Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan. "Their passion for this university—whether through academics, entrepreneurship, or athletics—has helped shape what NC State is today. We're excited to see Andy's name prominently displayed for all to see on game day and beyond."
Albright, who leads a successful business in Burlington says his gift is about giving back to a place that gave him so much.
"NC State has always been more than just a university to me — it's where I built lifelong friendships, learned to lead, and fell in love with the Wolfpack spirit," said Albright. "Tailgating at Carter-Finley with my family and business team is one of my favorite traditions, because it brings together everything I value: loyalty, connection, and celebration. I hope this scoreboard inspires others to give back, not just with their resources, but with their heart, their time, and their pride in being part of something bigger. Giving back is about legacy — and mine is forever tied to the Pack."
The Albrights have a long history of philanthropic leadership at NC State. Their past contributions include:
-
The Albright Entrepreneurship Garage Program & Albright Entrepreneurs Village
-
The Albright Sports Medicine Center in the Murphy Family Football Center
-
Endowments advancing Innovation and Entrepreneurship across campus.
-
Continued support of The Shelton Leadership Center
The naming of the scoreboard was approved by the NC State Board of Trustees, following the university's recommendation.
With this new chapter, the Albrights' legacy becomes part of the fabric of Carter-Finley Stadium—visible to thousands of fans each season and a symbol of Pack pride for years to come.
