NC State Gymnastics Concludes 2025 Season at Tuscaloosa Regional

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – NC State's gymnastics team capped off its 2025 season with a third-place finish at the Tuscaloosa Regional on Friday night, scoring a 196.275 at Coleman Coliseum.
Florida claimed the regional title with a 198.225, while Oregon State took second with a 197.050. Both teams advanced to the NCAA semifinals. Clemson finished fourth with a 195.875.
Vault (49.100)
Meg Adler led off the rotation with a 9.850. Lucy Lehman and Lauren Wright each posted career highs, earning scores of 9.800 and 9.850, respectively.
Bars (48.850)
Caroline Volk paced the Wolfpack on bars with a 9.875. Madeline Reid and Ava Myers followed with scores of 9.800.
Beam (49.200)
NC State's top event of the evening came on beam, where all six gymnasts hit their routines. Adler matched her career high with a 9.850, followed by Brooke Smead with a 9.850. Chloe Negrete anchored with a team-high 9.900.
Floor (49.125)
Ashley Knight led the floor rotation with a 9.875. Elle Hadrick added a 9.850 and Krista Zultevicz scored a 9.825.
The 2025 season concluded with a series of remarkable achievements for NC State Gymnastics. The team set a program record for its highest season-opening score with a 195.825, surpassing Towson, and embarked on a five-week stretch of consecutive scores over 196, including a season-best 197.025 in a victory over in-state ACC rival North Carolina.
Throughout the season, several athletes earned prestigious ACC Weekly honors: Ashley Knight was named Specialist of the Week twice, Syniya Thomas was named Newcomer of the Week twice, and Chloe Negrete earned Specialist honors four times and Gymnast of the Week once. Additionally, Knight and Elle Hadrick were selected for ACC Championship Team Honors, with Knight earning spots on vault and floor, while Hadrick was recognized for her performances on bars and floor.
Negrete etched her name in NC State history by becoming the first gymnast in a decade to earn Regular Season All-American honors from the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association. Her outstanding season also earned her a second consecutive AAI Award nomination, recognizing her as one of the nation's top gymnasts. A 14-time all-conference honoree and a nine-time all-conference championship honoree, Negrete led the team with 24 podium finishes and 13 individual victories, capping off an unforgettable final year with the Wolfpack.
Throughout the season, NC State remained in the top 25 of the nation's best collegiate teams, marking another successful chapter in the program's history.
