
No. 9/10 Pack Earn No. 1 Seed in 2025 ACC Tournament

RALEIGH - The No. 9/10 NC State women's basketball has locked up the No. 1 seed for the 2025 Ally ACC Women's Basketball Tournament. This marks the Pack's seventh time serving as the No. 1 seed in the tournament.

The Pack will play the winner of the 8/9 game, played between eighth-seeded Virginia Tech and ninth-seeded Georgia Tech. The quarterfinals matchup will take place on Friday, March 7 at 1:30 p.m. at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The Pack clinched its seventh ACC Regular Season Championship, second in the Wes Moore era, after finishing 16-2 in the league. NC State and Notre Dame tied for first in the league standings, and the Pack won the tiebreaker over Notre Dame after beating the Irish head-to-head with that 104-95 double overtime victory on Feb. 23.
The Pack's double bye marks eighth time in this current ACC Tournament format NC State has received a double bye, all in the Wes Moore era. The winner of the quarterfinals matchup on Friday will move on to play in the semifinals on Saturday, March 8 at noon to take on the winner of the 12/13/5-seed vs. 4-seed game. NC State is 27-16 in quarterfinals matchups, 18-10 in the semifinals and 7-11 in championship games played at the ACC Tournament.
NC State finished the regular season at 24-5.
