Negrete Earns Third ACC Specialist of the Week Honor

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Chloe Negrete has been named the ACC Specialist of the Week for the third time this season, just one week after being named the conference Gymnast of the Week, the league announced today.
Negrete is the only ACC gymnast to receive this honor three times this season.
In the regular-season finale, Negrete earned two individual victories, including a season-best 9.900 on vault and a 9.950 on beam before finishing the evening with a 9.850 on floor.
In recent weeks, she finished on the podium in all of her events, including a matched career-high 9.850 on vault, which earned her second place, and 9.975 scores on both beam and floor, securing individual titles in each event. Her 9.975 on floor was a matched career-high, while her 9.975 on beam marked a new career best. Negrete's performances helped NC State achieve season-high event scores of 49.350 on beam and 49.425 on floor. Throughout the season, she has been a consistent force, delivering team-high scores in the anchor position on floor and beam, contributing to NC State's two victories this weekend. At Texas Woman's University, she claimed two individual victories with a 9.900 on beam and a 9.875 on floor, both in the anchor position.
