Pack Falls to Georgia Tech

ATLANTA, Ga. – The NC State men's basketball team dropped a road contest to Georgia Tech, 87-62, on Saturday afternoon inside McCamish Pavilion.
Ben Middlebrooks and Dontrez Styles led the Pack with 13 points apiece. Styles also added a team-high six rebounds.
NC State led 23-21 with 5:30 left in the first half, but Georgia Tech closed the opening period on a 20-7 run to take a 41-30 lead into halftime intermission. The Yellow Jackets closed the half making nine of their final 11 field goal attempts.
The Pack never got within single digits again.
The deficit was 10, 65-55, with 8:15 to go, but the Yellow Jackets went on a 15-1 run to put the game away.
Baye Ndongo led Georgia Tech with 29 points and 17 rebounds. Duncan Powell added 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting.
The Yellow Jackets finished the game with a 48-22 advantage in points in the paint and outscored the Pack, 23-4, in second chance points.
NC State is back in action Wednesday when it hosts Pitt in the final home game of the season at the Lenovo Center. Tipoff against the Panthers is scheduled for 7 p.m.
