NC State’s James, Rivers Named to Women’s College All-Star Game Player Watch List

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State women's basketball team's Aziaha James and Saniya Rivers have been named to the Women's College All-Star Game Midseason Watch List presented by Herbalife. The duo was selected by a panel of national media experts to potentially compete in the national showcase event on April 5 during Final Four weekend in Tampa.
The 2025 Women's College All-Star games will feature top senior standouts who will likely be hearing their names called in the WNBA Draft. Of the more than 60 players on the watch list, 20 will be selected to participate in the event, which will be televised by ESPN2 on April 5 at 3 p.m.
James leads the Pack with 17.8 points per game, which is top 10 in the ACC, along with 4.8 rebounds per game and 59 assists with 26 steals. She has reached double digits in scoring in all but one game this season and is coming off a career-high 36 points off 15-of-19 shooting from the field in the Pack's win over No. 10/10 Duke in the 20th annual Play4Kay game. James is shooting 46.6 percent from the field (150-322), 33.1 percent from 3-point (45-136) and 75.4 percent from the free throw line (46-61). James now has 10 20+ point games this season.
Rivers has continued to dominate on both sides of the ball, averaging 12.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, while leading the Pack with 37 steals and 25 blocks. She has 14 double-digit scoring games, four double-doubles and four 3+ steal games. She is coming off 13 points, three boards, four assists, two blocks and one steal against No. 10/10 Duke. Rivers surpassed 1,000 career points against Virginia Tech and sits in the top 15 in career blocks at NC State (88).
The complete watch list will be found on the event's website at www.womenscollegeallstar.com. The final event roster will be announced the week of the event. Participants in the Women's College All-Star Game will be players that have exhausted or will forego their remaining eligibility.
Tickets for the 2025 event, which will take place at Tampa Prep, one mile from Amalie Arena (site of women's college basketball national championship game), will go on sale starting March 6, with presale taking place on March 5.
