Freshman Michaela Laki Earns Third ACC Weekly Honor

Charlotte, NC – The ACC announced its weekly honors on Tuesday afternoon, with NC State freshman Michaela Laki earning this week's Freshman of the Week accolade.

This marks Laki's third ACC honor of the season, including her second Freshman of the Week award. She earned this recognition following her outstanding performance in the Wolfpack's 5-2 victory over Old Dominion on Saturday, February 8. Laki dominated the match, defeating the No. 6-ranked Sophia Johnson in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3. Known for her ability to adapt well under pressure, this victory marks Laki's second win over a top 15 opponent in just five appearances this season.
