Indoor Track Kicks Off with A Pair of Meets

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State track and field team opens its indoor season on Saturday, December 6, with athletes competing at both the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston, MA and the Visit Winston-Salem College Kick-Off in Winston-Salem, NC.

Ten Wolfpack athletes are set to open the season at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener, competing across the mile, 3000m and 5000m.
Kate Putman will race the 3000m, while Briley Bickerstaff, Jolena Quarzo and Brooke Rauber line up in the 5000m. In the elite sections, Sadie Engelhardt and Angelina Napoleon will race in the 3000m, with Hannah Gapes competing in the elite 5000m.
Elliott McArthur will take on the Mile, with Noah Valyo and Luke Wiley entered in the 5000m.
At the Winston-Salem College Kick-Off, NC State athletes will compete in the hurdles and throws.
In the women's events, Jakerra Covington is set to compete in both the 60m hurdles and shot put, while Iniyah Mitchell joins her in the shot put. Natalie Griffith will compete in the weight throw.
On the men's side, Tony Taylor II and Bradley Pawlak will both compete in the weight throw, with Taylor also competing in the shot put.
