Aidan Payne Wins 2025 Men’s Soccer NCAA Elite Scholar-Athlete Award

RALEIGH – Determined for success on and off the field, NC State men's soccer player Aidan Payne was honored with the NCAA Elite Scholar-Athlete award for having the highest cumulative GPA at the finals site for each of the NCAA's championships.
Senior forward Aidan Payne was awarded the NCAA Elite Scholar-Athlete award on Thursday for his success as a student and an athlete. Payne, studying accounting has a 4.0 cumulative GPA.
The NCAA Elite Scholar-Athlete award honors the exceptional achievements of student-athletes. This prestigious accolade is given to those who have not only excelled at a national championship level in their sport but have also achieved the highest academic standards among their peers. The Elite Scholar-Athlete is proudly awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA at the finals site for each of the NCAA's championships.
