COLUMBIA, MO - NC State senior Grace Hartman was named the recipient of the 2025 NCAA Elite-Scholar Athlete Award, formerly known as the Elite 90 Award, at the NCAA Cross Country National Championships, Saturday morning.
A psychology major, Hartman received the honor during the post-race awards ceremony. Earlier in the day, she delivered a standout performance in the women's 6K, placing sixth in 18:52.6 to earn All-American honors for the second consecutive year and help lead the Wolfpack to its fourth national title in five years.
This is Hartman's second Elite-Scholar Athlete Award. She previously received the distinction at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. She is one of only two members of the NC State track and field and cross country programs to win this award, joining Kelsey Chmiel, the 2022 honoree at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
The NCAA Elite Scholar-Athlete Award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average at the final site of each of the NCAA Championships.
