INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – NC State men's soccer has been named the No. 15 seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, landing a first round bye and the opportunity to host the second round. The Wolfpack will face the winner of Marshall and Cleveland State on Sunday at 6 p.m. at Dail Soccer Stadium.
For the first time since the 2009 season, NC State men's soccer has earned a first round bye in the NCAA Tournament after being named the No. 15 seed. The Pack will host the winner of the Marshall//Cleveland State on Sunday at 6 p.m. for the second round match.
This season marks the 18th national tournament berth for the Wolfpack. The last time the program earned a first round bye and won in the second round one was in 1992, a win on Sunday would be just the second time for NC State to do that.
All NCAA Tournament action will air on ESPN+ until the NCAA College Cup, which will be broadcast on ESPNU on Dec. 13 and 16.
The Wolfpack currently sits at a 12-2-4 record, marking the program's most wins in a season since 2009. In the NCAA's final RPI report, NC State finished the season at 16.
