MIAMI GARDENS, FLA - NC State struggled against Miami's vaunted defense, falling 41-7 on Saturday afternoon at Hard Rock Stadium. Â

The Hurricanes held the Pack to just a season-low 149 yards of total offense and what had been a lethal running game to just 29 yards on 20 attempts. CJ Bailey finished with 120 passing yards, a rushing touchdown, and two interceptions on the day.Â

Bailey's score came with 2:18 left in the contest, putting an end to the Hurricanes' shutout.

Caden Fordham added to his total as the ACC's leading tackler finishing with 11. He also recovered a fumble forced by Devon Marshall – the first fumble that Miami has lost all season. Freshman Chase Bond recorded the Pack's lone sack.

The NC State loss moves the all-time series to 6-12-1. NC State will next face off against Florida State in a sold-out Military Appreciation Game at home on Friday, November 21, at 8:00 p.m., which will be broadcast on ESPN.

The Pack needs one more win in the final two weeks of the season to become bowl eligible. NC State boasts a five-year bowl streak and has qualified for 10 in the 12 years under Dave Doeren.
