Wolfpack Sweeps ACC Weekly Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The ACC announced Tuesday afternoon its weekly honors with the Wolfpack sweeping all recognitions. Michaela Laki was named both ACC Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week. Maddy Zampardo and Gabriella Broadfoot earned ACC doubles team of the week for the second consecutive week.
Freshman Michaela Laki made a standout debut for the Wolfpack in their home opener this weekend, facing off against Campbell on Friday evening and No. 10 Pepperdine on Sunday. Beginning dual play at the No. 1 spot in singles, Laki proved to be a fierce competitor defeating Sonia Pieczynska of Campbell 6-0, 6-3, and making a statement against No. 13 Savannah Broadus 6-4, 6-4 of Pepperdine in just her second match as a member of the Wolfpack.

- No. 3 Doubles- Jessica Maras & Veronika Prospalova: Won 5-1 / Kristina Paskauskas
- No. 1 Singles- Sonia Pieczynska: Won 6-0, 6-3
- No. 3 Doubles- No. 101 Liam Oved & Alexia Harmon: Won 6-0 / Kristina Paskauskas
- No. 1 Singles- No. 13 Savannah Broadus: Won 6-4, 6-4
No. 5 ranked doubles team consisting of Maddy Zampardo & Gabriella Broadfoot earned their second straight ACC Doubles Team of the Week honors following their performance over the weekend against Campbell and Pepperdine. After earning their fourth straight win against Campbell, the pair looked to extend their winning streak against Pepperdine defeating the No. 14 Savannah Broadus and Vivian Yang 6-2.Â

The Pack are set to compete in ITA Kickoff weekend hosted by Tennessee Jan. 24-25. Additional opponents competing will be Ohio State, Texas Tech, and Tennessee.Â
