
D1 Baseball Ranks NC State No. 13 in Preseason Top 25

RALEIGH, NC – For the second consecutive year, NC State baseball was ranked No. 13 in D1 Baseball's 2025 Preseason Top 25 poll, as announced by the publication.
NC State's spring roster is comprised of 39 student-athletes, featuring 20 newcomers and 19 returners. Earlier this month, D1 baseball tabbed the Wolfpack as the No. 23 freshman class in the nation.
A few Juco transfers for Pack fans to keep an eye on include Brayden Fraasman, who was ranked No. 28 in the top 50 impact transfer hitters, as well as Landon Carr (No. 30) and Eli Pillsbury (No. 47), both included on Top 50 impact Juco transfer pitchers according to D1 Baseball.
The Wolfpack concluded the 2024 season with a trip to Omaha and the College World Series. NC State finished with a 38-23 record. It was the 34th time in program history advancing to the NCAA Tournament. For the seventh time in program history, the NC State baseball team was named one of the 16 NCAA Regional host sites for the 2024 Division I Baseball Championship. NC State beat Bryant, South Carolina, and James Madison to advance to their sixth Super Regional in program history, where they defeated Georgia.
The Pack opens its 2025 season at home against Fordham on Feb. 14th. The first pitch at Doak Field at Dail Park is set for 3 p.m.
