RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State volleyball head coach Megan Wargo-Kearnery announced the addition of UCLA transfer Ashley Mullen to the program Thursday afternoon.
Mullen will join the Pack in spring 2025.
Wargo-Kearney said, "We heavily recruited Ashley out of high school, so this process was able to move relatively quickly since we had a lot of familiarity with one another. Ashley is a true competitor and has a lot of intangibles that elite setters have. We are excited to get her in the gym this spring and welcome her family to the Pack."
The Kansas City, Missouri native missed the 2024 season due to injury but started all 19 matches she appeared in during the 2023 campaign. She finished her freshman season with 366 assists to average 6.00 per set. She also recorded 70 digs, 10 service aces, and seven kills.
Throughout the 2023 season, Mullen recorded three 40+ assist matches. She notched the first double-double of her career in the Bruins win over Colorado when she finished with 29 assists and 12 digs.
Prior to joining the Bruins, she was an alternate for USA Volleyball's 2023 Collegiate National team during the summer of 2023.
As a senior in high school, Mullen was ranked the No. 4 setter in the country and 26th overall recruit by Prep Volleyball. She was selected as an UnderArmour All-American and competed in the UnderArmour All-American game in 2022.
