Chapel Hill, N.C. – 18th-ranked NC State men's soccer fell to No. 6 North Carolina Friday night by an 0-2 score on the road to face their first loss of the season.
Former member of the Pack, Luke Hille, put the Tarheels on the board first in the 11th minute when he finished off of a failed clear attempt from a free kick awarded to the home team.
In goal for the red-and-white, Logan Erb, made a vital save in the 19th minute to prevent the Tarheels from increasing their lead even further in the first half.

In the final minutes of the first half, Karamoko nearly netted a goal after a ball was fed to him by Phillip, that forced a save by Carolina's keeper, Andrew Cordes.
Coming out of the half, NC State was able to connect more in the final third of the field but was still unable to find the back of the net.
UNC doubled their lead in the 74th minute when Ahmad Al Qaq nailed a shot off the crossbar in the upper right 90 of the frame.
