Anthony Carter Jr. Named University Scholar-Athlete by NFF Dooley Chapter

RALEIGH, NC - The National Football Foundation's Bill Dooley Chapter announced the 2024 University Scholar-Athlete Award recipients. Offensive Guard Anthony Carter Jr. was honored from Wolfpack Football.

Carter Jr. is going into his R-Jr. season in 2024. Last season, he started 11 of 13 games at the left guard position. He ranked second on the offensive line in Raleigh Railroads with 14. He set a career-high in snaps (79) and knockdown blocks (six) in the Wolfpack's win over UNC, earning the offensive line's highest grade.

A three-time ACC Academic Honor Roll recipient, Carter Jr. was named An Academic All-ACC performer in 2022 and then again in 2023.

About the NFF Bill Dooley Chapter
On August 23, 1995, Bill Dooley, one of the winningest coaches in the Atlantic Coast Conference history, invited athletic directors, coaches, and representatives from the University of North Carolina, Duke University, N.C. Central University, and North Carolina State University to join him and N.C. Governor Jim Hunt at the State Capitol Old Senate Chambers. It was at that meeting the universities pledged their support to the newly formed NFFCHOF Chapter and its mission. In 2012, East Carolina University joined the Chapter, and in 2014, the NFFCHOF Board of Directors unanimously voted to name the chapter after its founder.
