RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State Athletics continues to excel both competitively and academically, not only winning five ACC titles this past year, but also posting the highest multiyear Academic Progress Rate (APR) in school history. In data released today by the NCAA national office, the Wolfpack posted a 996 mark for the period of 2019-20 to 2022-23.
Eleven of the Wolfpack's 20 teams earned a perfect 1000, while 19 of the 20 teams are above the national average for their sport.
The football squad earned a 984 multiyear APR, the highest score in school history.
APR is a term-by-term measure of eligibility and retention for Division I student-athletes that was developed by the NCAA as an indicator of eventual graduation rates. The formula is based on the eligibility and retention of each scholarship student-athlete and rates are based on the past four years' performance.
